Local and country roads are ideal for hiking. Explore the beauties of the Marina coast and hinterland actively, by using walking trails. Learn about them and embark on an adventure! Here you can see the routes around the municipality of Marina that lead from the rural households through the Hylaian peninsula and the underwater museum, the Roman routes in Sevid to cultural and historical sights: HIKING ROUTES

The “Hileja Marina Trail” race, organized by the Hileja Trek & Trail company, is not only the most beautiful advertisement for this Marina trail, but an invitation to every guest to hike through the beautiful wilderness of the municipality of Marina. Passing through forest, rocky landscape, olive groves, coastal lapies and macadam, the trail is ideal for a thorough exploration of the countryside of this historic Hyllaean Peninsula.

The Franz Joseph's Footprints

In the local dialect known as the Grota, St. Philip and Jacob's Cave is located 1,8 km from the Marina's Tourist Office. It is possible to go by car only until the foothill. To reach the cave itself, you are advised to hike the “Franz Joseph I.” Track - named after the Austrian emperor and the Hungarian, Croatian and Czech king who visited the Cave in 1891.

Dare yourself on a little recreational vacation, learn some local history and enjoy the nature’s peace and tranquility provided by this track. At the top, you can find the cave in front of which is a plateau with century-old holly oak, typical regional medieval tombstones “stećci” and the remains of Paleo-Christian architecture.
